Jute
Yarn is a material, which is spun and prepared
for use in weaving, knitting, manufacturing
sewing thread, or the like. Most of the single
strand jute yarn produced is consumed by the
mills themselves in fabric and twine manufacture.
Jute twine in varying weights and thickness
is, however, used extensively both in India
and abroad for sewing, tying, and for a variety
of industrial applications such as packing
pipe joints, cable binding, etc. |
Jute yarn may have single or multiple
ply. It is usually bleached, dyed, processed
to serve various purposes. Sturdy yarn is
usually machine spun and hand dyed. Jute yarn
is also available in different colors and
compositions. Jute yarn is also manufactured
exclusively for export purpose and is utilised
for making jute blended fabrics, diversified
jute goods (cabel/wire), ropes and decorative
wall coverings. Overseas garment and carpet
making industries make maximum utilisation

from the weather. Canvas is the heavy Fabric
of the Tarpaulin variety available in a wide
range of construction & weights. It is
a plain weave fabric of fine quality, which
is relatively inexpensive compared to canvas
made from other fibers. |
Canvas is a very heavy woven cloth and
so is the tarpaulin. Many other classes of
cloths are woven with jute yarn with various
weave-geometry weights and are much heavier
than sacking cloths. |

Usage
|
Canvas is used mainly
for coverings on a multi-dimensional scale. It is
used for the manufacture of different types of bags
including postal mail bags, high quality seed bags.
Bitumen coated tarpaulin bags are used in the fertilizer
industry. Postal bags are made from D. W. Canvas
and scrim lamination with paper polythene is used
in mines. |
